Pierre Charial makes in his workshop the perforated cards that make the barrel organs sing.
His repertoire is eclectic: popular songs, contemporary music, classic jazz, folk, etc…
Pierre Charial collaborates closely with Emmanuel Odin, barrel organ builder.
Militant of mechanical music, he contributes to the safeguard of a heritage threatened with disappearance along with the creation of a contemporary repertoire, in popular music as well as in art music.
Pierre Charial was named Master Artist in October 2004.
The transfer of know-how is part of the mission of the Maître d’Art.
Each Maître d’Art takes under his wing one or more students to train companions and craftsmen of the twenty-first century.
