For more than 30 years now, Johannes Carda has specialized in creation and restoration of old keyboard instruments, such as the pianoforte or the clavichord.

Johannes Carda’s workshop is renowned throughout Europe for the quality of his high instrument making from the period, which requires a specialized musical culture and a high level of art valuation at the same time.

Johannes Carda, a former teacher of the Conservatory of Vienna, was given the title of Master of Art in 1998 and now devotes his time to research, creation and restoration of instruments from the period, which enables us to rediscover a repertoire and restore the original sounding of these works as much as possible.
